As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what an exciting and milestone-filled year it has been for our new Utah division. Building a presence in a new region is no small task, and every step forward has been a meaningful one, from moving dirt for the first time to welcoming our very first homeowners. With each milestone, we’ve watched our vision come to life and our connection to the Utah community grow stronger.
Our First Groundbreaking
In February, Tri Pointe Homes officially broke ground on one of our very first Utah communities, The Crossings at Lake Creek in Heber City. Set in an ideal spot for year-round recreation with a stunning backdrop of mountain peaks and open sky, The Crossings represents the start of something special. The community is planned to include approximately 139 thoughtfully designed single-family homes that blend modern living with the natural beauty and energy of the Wasatch Back.
This milestone marked more than the start of construction. It also marked the moment we became part of the Heber City story. We celebrated with our team onsite, shovels in the dirt, and bright smiles all around knowing this would be the foundation of the journey ahead.
Our First Model Homes
Excitement was building as the month of July saw the completion of the model home at The Crossings at Lake Creek in Heber City and two more model homes at our Polaris at Terraine community in West Jordan. These model homes showcase our approach to design: purposeful layouts, inspired architecture, and interiors that balance style with everyday livability.
Shortly after the model completion at Polaris, we welcomed our very first visitors with sneak peeks during the Salt Lake Parade of Homes. Hundreds of guests, neighbors, and future homeowners walked through our doors, giving our team the opportunity to introduce the Tri Pointe Homes experience firsthand. It was incredible to see the reactions and positive feedback.
Our First Community Openings
August brought yet another exciting moment: the official opening of sales at Polaris and The Crossings.Two grand openings back-to-back made for an energetic month filled with model tours, conversations with curious future residents, and plenty of celebration. Our sales teams were ready to welcome guests, answer questions, and share what makes these new communities so special.August was a month we’ll never forget.
Our First Homebuyer
August also marked another milestone: our first official home purchase in Utah. Our Crossings sales team had the honor of celebrating with our very first buyer as they selected their homesite and began their homebuying journey. Moments like this are why we do what we do.
With tools like the Tri Pointe Homes app, design guidance, and a helpful Homebuying Journey guide,we’re committed to supporting buyers every step of the way. Watching someone take that first step toward their new home and knowing we get to walk the journey with them was a highlight of our year.
Our First Delivery
By November, we reached one of our most meaningful milestones: delivering our first complete home in Utah and handing over the keys to our first homeowners at The Crossings. Seeing the joy and excitement on move-in day reminded us just how special this work is. A home is more than walls and windows, it's the beginning of memories, traditions, and new chapters. Welcoming our first family home set the tone for many more to come.
Our First Year of Giving Back
Alongside building homes, we also focused on building community through service. This year, our Utah team participated in volunteer efforts including:
A donation drive collecting supplies for local animal sheltersto help pets in need find comfort and care.
Supporting Whittier Elementary Schoolthrough the mobile school pantry program, ensuring students and families had reliable access to essential food items.
Holiday gift and coat collections to help bring warmth and joy to families during the winter season.
Team volunteer outings that brought us together not only as coworkers, but as neighbors dedicated to the communities we serve.
Giving back is an invaluable part of who we are, and we look forward to expanding our outreach efforts as our division grows.
What's Next?
This year was just the beginning for Tri Pointe Homes Utah. From groundbreaking celebrations to handing over keys and building community relationships, 2025 set the foundation for what we know will be a bright future here in Utah. We’re grateful to every partner, team member, and homebuyer who helped make these milestones possible and we cannot wait to see what the coming years bring.
